Question
I'm thinking of ttc, but have a huge fear of just getting huge. Right now I'm 227 and I have been married for almost 12 years. We are now talking about having kids and of course I just say when I get some of this weight off. I can't keep saying that b/c I'm not getting any younger. I just turned 32 and I'm 5'9" and weigh 227. Any advice would help. I'm on Birth Control and I do workout occationally. Let me know what you think.....thanks so much!

Read my post. It will answer your questions. I am 5'4 and 220 and have the same fears as your but everyone gave me good advice. It was posted under Thinking about getting pregnant.

In all honesty--and I'm going to sound very mean here, so I'll apologize in advance--this is what I think:
If your primary concern when it comes to becoming pregnant and having children is aesthetics ("a huge fear of getting just huge"), then please, put it off. To have children means turning your concerns to something outside of yourself. You cannot go into parenthood concerned with nothing more than how it's going to make you look. |
Ya, it makes sense nay. Thats what i was thinking. I want to have kids and lately I have not been as conserned with how I will look as much as how happy i will be in the end.
