Hi, I'm new!

Hallo!
I'm Alba, I'm dieting and I have IR.
I hope we will help each other to reach our goal:hug:

What kind of plan are you following to help with your IR?

Hi!
I'm trying to follow a 1200 cal. diet, without too many carbs when I can, and trying to walk at least 30 min. every day...It' s nothing very specific, but I think that I need now to find something that works better! It's nearly a month and I have lost only 2 kilos!!! My doctor first prescribed me metformin, but I was so sick while taking it that my doctor decided to suspend. I feel better, anyway: while on metformin I was eating MORE (:o ) and not less!

Do you have any tip for the diet I'd follow?

:smug: Alba

Oh I was horribly sick on Met. I'm still thinking about giving it another try, but only if my IR is bad enough. My endo wouldn't test me though until I had been on it for a month already. I'm not sure why I have to suffer for a month first. I'm also doing low cal. New studies show that carbs might not make as big of a difference in IR weight loss, but I'm not convinced, so I'm still trying to lay off the carbs whenever I can help it.

You are doing well, Jennifer! Looking at your ticker I see you have lost a lot!
Do you have Pcos? If yes, is the weight loss helping with this?

I hope to have too enought motivation to reach my goal, someday!
(I'm quite :( today! Tomorrow will be better!;) )

Yes, the weight loss does help with symptoms. My hair is not thin anymore, and my face is much more clear than in the past. I also use Tretinoin on my face, which helps. It's a slow weight loss, but it's a loss!
Keep your chin up. You'll get there. :)

Hi Alba! Wow, 1200 calories per day. You are a brave woman. I don't think I could live that low. Great job on the walking. Exercise is very important for IR. I wish I could consistently get it done. I do better when I schedule it on the calendar but I still have problems!

Have you tried varying your calories so that you are eating a different amount each day but end up averaging what you want at the end of the week? You may find that it gets the scale moving. I find that if I stay at the same calorie level day in and day out, I stall but if I vary my calories daily the scale stays moving as long as I take my meds.

Hope your next weighin makes you happy!
