I'm back.. with more questions..

I went on vacation, and had high hopes of seeing my doctor and her solving all my hormone issues, but I wasn't able to see her. So I'm on a quest to find a doctor near me, I'm learning little things on what I like about a doctor, but what tells you that you are seeing a GOOD doctor? My one clue is if the doctor listens, not just have an opinion. Any other ideas? I started on the pill, and hope that will make things more "steady", but man, emotions are totally out of wack! So if my hormones are outta-wack, does that tie into PCOS? Or am I doomed to be on an emotional rollercoaster? Because I really dislike rollercoasters.. heh.

So I was looking around on the internet, finding out information about PCOS, and was reading that a low-carb diet helps to lose weight. I'd rather avoid seeing a doctor, they scare me, not to mention since I don't have a doctor and am unfamiliar with the area, I have to go to walk-in clinics, and that alone takes 4 hours to see a doctor. Anyways, I did Atkins years ago, and realized, I hate 90% of meat. And tofu? I'd rather eat dirt (hmm, is that high in protein?). So how can you do low-carb and low-meat? It's not possible, right? I'm feeling overwhelmed and anxious!
