PCOS and Optifast

I am currently on week two of Optifast diet program through a hospital. I was wondering if there are people who have tried it or are currently on the diet? How did it work out? I am just a bit skeptical as the shakes have a lot of sugar.

I am currently taking:

1 High Protein Shake
3 Pre-made Shakes
2 Chicken Flavor Soups

Total: 1000 calories
