Looking for support.......
Hi! I'm new to this board! I recently learned that I Have PCOS. I'm 18 years old and a senior in High School! Knowin that what is "wrong" with me has a name has eased some of my nerves! I have done alot of research! The one thing that i have found to be a major problem is inferility. I Have always wanted children!(7 to be exact :) Knowing that I may not have that option is really scary to me! I'm just looking for some folks to reassure me and to talk to regularly about what's going on! Thanks for your time!!

Hi Lannie.
It is good that you found out what is wrong with you early, instead of having to wait until you were 35, and not able to have the children you want. There are some good ways that PCOS can be treated, and I feel sure more research will help discover more about the condition that will lead to better and better treatment. Watching your diet, and getting regular exercise now will help you keep your PCOS as much under control as possible. Having children is not impossible, just a bit more challenging. Take care of yourself, follow your doctors advice, and keep researching PCOS for new information. I hope they find a cure soon! Best wishes to you! |
