Another Question

I have been on Metform for almost 2 weeks now. The side effects have subsided significantly (thank goodness), and it defintely diminishes appetite. I now eat a protein shake with milk, protein powder, strawberries and blueberries for breakfast/a lean cuisine/healthy choice for lunch and then try to eat something low carb for dinner-2 nights a week I have school and usually get down a granola bar and some nuts on the way. Is this enough--I am 5'7" and 250.2?

I know I was always told to eat snacks (healthy) during day to keep metabolism going, etc. but I am not hungry except the 3 mealtimes now.......is that ok?

When I began taking Met initially, I had little appetite. I, too, found the snacks difficult to work in. As my body adjusted to the Met, I was eventually able to add them in. Give it a little time, but keep the snacks handy. If you feel a decrease in energy between meals, or general sluggishness, that's probably a better indicator that you need a snack than hunger pangs.
