pcos-spironolactone-weight loss-future pregnancies?
 

my doctor thinks i may have pcos and discussed the possibility of taking spironolactone and metformin.

i have heard that you cannot take spironolactone during pregnancy, and have heard conflicting reports about how long you have to be off of it before becoming pregnant. this makes me hesitatnt to take it.

i am wondering if anyone else who is taking it or has taken it may know more detail about this particular question.

does anyone know how long you have to be off of spironolactone (aldactone) before you become pregnant?

i keep hearing different things from different people and different doctors (endocrinologist/obgyn/dermatologist).

i want to make sure i have the right information.

just wondering if there is some sort of concensus out there?

I went to an OB to ask about help and advice to get pregnant. My doctor prescribed both metformin and the Spiro.... Ive read forums where it has helped and not helped with ovulating etc.

I have PCOS, so Hopefully this will help. Good luck to both of us. :D I start today.
