Doc's appointment today

Well i went and talked to my doctor. She did agree to send me for all the tests however she was chuckling. I asked her why and she said most people who have PCOS have irregular periods and i never have....a bit moreso lately but i'm probably peri menopause. However, i give her credit for not giving me any more flack about it. I listed off all the various sypmtoms over the years including miscarriages and she at least nodded that she understood why i wanted to find out.

So Monday morning i get the big poke in the arm. When i get the results, i'll take them to my Naturopath and do that route first. One way or the other it will be good to know yes ....or rule it out and then still be stumped.

Yes i have lost 5 pounds.......but i never get below this weight and then i bounce back up again. Fingers crossed.

Have a good weekend everyone. x

My fingers are crossed that your 5 turns to 6! I'm glad you're getting the bloodwork done. It will be good to know. I don't know if I was happy or sad when I found out. Of course nobody wants PCOS, but it was good to at least know what in the heck was going on with me.

My gynecologist is an expert on PCOS and says that having PCOS does not necessarily mean you are going to have an irregular period. I, as well, had my periods every month, on their time (I only got them a week earlier in December when it is too cold and a week later in July when it is hot) but apart from that there was nothing to indicate PCOS apart from the weight. My previous doctor did not even consider the possibility of PCOS existing because of my regular periods despite the fact my weight sky-rocketed when my periods started when I was a kid.

Thanks Preety
What you just wrote, made me happy about not letting that one variable my doctor mentioned have me back down from wanting the tests done. I appreciate the confirmation.
Laura:)
