Hi everyone!

I'm Elizabeth--today is my first day on this site:) I was diagnosed with PCOS in April 2007. Since then, my doctor has put me on Yaz, Spironolactone, and Metoprolol. She is considering putting me on Metformin, depending on the results of my blood sugar levels. It was great to read all of the info that you've posted on Metformin--very helpful!

I started South Beach one week ago today. I weighed in this morning, and I lost 3.4 pounds. I should be happier about this, but I just thought that I could lose more by the way Phase 1 is described in the book. Is anyone else doing South Beach?

Anyhow, I'm really excited about becoming a member of this website b/c it will be great to speak with other women who have been diagnosed with PCOS.
