Newbie here....

Hello everyone. Like most of you I have struggled with my weight from very early on. I have tried just about every diet you can think of, with little success....and the times when I have had success...it all comes back, with just a bit more for good measure :) I also believe I have PCOS. I have a good majority of the symptoms, although never had a name for it. I go to my doctor in a couple of weeks for confirmation of my self-diagnosis. My DH and I have been TTC for the last 10 months with no luck....I'm hoping that losing weight will help us to get 'er done without having to use any drugs (with my luck I'd have, like, sextuplets or something crazy like that!). So I'm hoping to find some support and encouragement here. It was really exciting to find a weight loss forum that actually deals with PCOS. I already work out 4-5 times a week, but have of course, lost next to nothing. I am starting a lower carb diet, which is probably the one thing I haven't tried ;) So here goes...wish me luck!

Good luck with the diet! And good luck with the TTC too! I had a similar problem, but it was before PCOS became a semi well known term. I was never diagnosed, but also had the symptoms. We did go the drug route, and that didn't work out either. The doc told me to lose weight and then come back and try again. Well, that never happened, and I'm pretty sure my ship has sailed. So....... I hope the lower carb thing helps you! Keep us posted!
