I suspect that I have PCOS...
Based on what I've read regarding symptoms of PCOS, I think that I probably have it. Where should I go from here?
I don't have a family doctor...so should I go to a doctor at a medical clinic? |
I would definitely get a family Dr.You need one regardless of whether you have pcos. You can go to a clinic while looking for a family DR. if you want immediate care.Don't put it off having a family DR.is important for longterm care, someone who knows you well...

I would recommend definitely seeing and endocrynologist. Any other doctor (even my gyno) was denying my symptoms. I had to beg to be seen by an endo. She finally told me the truth and diagnosed me. If any doctors try to tell you it's nothing or something else, get lots of opinions! It may just be something else, but lots of times it's misdiagnosed. Good luck!!!

Until you find out, there is no harm in 'treating' yourself for it. Reduce calories, exercise, stay away from simple carbs - get in plenty of good fats and fiber for heart health and good sugar/insulin levels.

I would definitely see a doctor! I was diagnosed by my gynecologist who sent me to an endocrinologist. For now, though, what your sugar and carbohydrate intake!
