I dunno what to title this

I had some blood work done last month..and because we were having issues with our phone my doc wasnt able to get ahold of me, then they wouldnt give me my results over the phone. Long story short, I just found out about my results today. I have traces of PCOS. I'm not sure what that means really..buy I'm going to have an ultrasound done soon..and I'm gonna be going to the Infertility clinic to see about medications and stuff.

I figured I had it..but now that its been confirmed, I just feel so disappointed. I dunno how dh even feels about it. I dont think he fully took it all in though, he just came home and went to sleep. We'll probably talk about it later.

I kinda feel like crying right now. We've just been trying for a baby for so long..and it feels like we keep hitting road blocks. I'm hoping to be put on fertility drugs soon. So we'll see what happens. I know its not the end of the world though.

((HUGS)) Girlie

Hey Girlie.

I know I PM'd ya, but just wanna give you some more

I think a lot of us felt that way when we were first diagnosed. It is like a ton of bricks falls on ya.......or at least it was for me........

The main thing I did was just do research on the net. So that is a good beginning, if you want. Also check out Soulcysters.com, its a fab site with lots of info and even more great people too. :)

Once you get your appt. for the Infertility Specialist, I would recommend making out a list of questions and taking them with you to ask them. (if you go, not sure what your plans are) I know lots of "Cysters" (Women with PCOS) who have gotten pregnant, so its possible, I know it can be very hard sometimes when you keep trying and you keep coming to a block in the road, been there, done that, still living that........Its frustrating, its devestating, its infurating, its a wide range of emotions, that is for sure.

Once again, I'm here if you ever wanna chat. You have all my info I think, if not just let me know!!! ;)

Big

Thanks for the site. I'm gonna explore it and write down questions. This is just on my mind like none other right now.

I don't have any advice, I have cyst issues myself although it's more likely to be endo than pcos - still sucks, I'll have surgery in a month to find out - I just wanted to give you a big virtual hug. Tons of people do get pregnant with pcos, and honestly, there are other options. There are surrogates, if you feel really strongly about having your own biological children, or there are thousands of kids out there who really need a home. Whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll be a great mom.

Sorry my computer is acting stupid.

I was 18 when I had POCs diagnosed on me and I remember I felt horrible about it. I heard from every one it would be difficult to have babies one day and I felt like my world has collapsed (because I do want children one day). Anyway my gynecologist said that I was young, and it wasn't necessary that it would be difficult to have children. He told me of cases he had with patients that did had POCs and had their children without extra effort (that means without going crazy in infertility clinics). So hold on there. Plus if you lose body weight and exercise the cystic levels fall.

I hope that you find answers soon. I too have PCOS without cysts on my ovaries. I just wanted to tell you not to lose hope, I conceived my son after 3 years of trying. It will happen for you too. Keep your chin up, don't let PCOS get you down. Best of luck!

*hugs* Hang in there! Soulcysters really helped me understand PCOS and answered more questions than the doctors could when I was first diagnosed years ago.
