Are there any other posters here taking Alpha Lipoic Acid? I quit taking Glucophage last week and just started on ALA this week. I am taking a 300 mg time release pill each day. I have been reading a lot of info from other people that I have recently met with Insulin Resistance and have decided to give it a try.

ALA has virtually no side effects, and it is also used to prevent Lactic Acidosis, which was one of the side effects I was most afraid of with Glucophage. I told my doctor I wanted to try this and she was ok with it.

I will be getting my blood drawn again in a couple of months and will post my fasting insulin levels when I get them.
