Funny you should ask!!! I came in here today to provide an update as I hit a huge milestone (no pun intended). I actually haven't been on this for quite a year yet as you will see below:

On January 10th 2018 (just under a year ago), I started my diet. I weighed 440 pounds. Around Thanksgiving I was kind of on another plateau and I committed that I was going to lose 200 pounds by the 1 year mark. There were a lot of days that I thought I wouldn't be able to do it, but I beat my goal by 2 days!

It hasn't been easy, and some days were harder than others, but even with a cheat day here and there I stayed focused and kept the end goal in mind.

While this is a significant accomplishment, I am not quite done yet. I still have about another 50 pounds (or so) that I need to lose. I am definitely going to do it though. People almost always ask me "how do you feel after losing all of that weight?". The truthful answer that I give is that I still haven't found the words to describe how I feel. I could say "I feel great!", but that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of how i feel. My entire life has changed. I can do more around the house, do more with friends and family, etc. etc. I am so grateful and will never go back anywhere near that 440 mark ever again.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Very excited for you! Are you already thinking about a transition to maintenance plan ahead?

Thank you!

I have started to give it some thought. Tracking on the app has given me some good insight on how many calories I should be eating a day. I will definitely be getting off Nutristystem once I lose the weight, and just tracking calories.

You have done a great job and your story is very interesting. I'm glad you posted it here. I wish you all the luck going forward with maintenance.
