Another 0.2 down this morning. Slow and steady wins the race, I guess.

Go Sandy! You're having a great week! I was bracing myself for my weigh in this morning - haven't been to the gym as much this week, plus TOM, plus last weeks visit from the whoosh fairy. But I did ok... 0.7 pounds down. I'll take it, all things considered. Hope the rest of your week goes well

Great job, Lyn! It's always scary weighing in during TOM, I know; although, I'm heading into menopause and haven't had Auntie Flow pay a visit in almost 4 months. Good riddance to her!!!

Well, I was doing well with my losses and then over the last 2 days the scale went up 0.4, giving me a grand total loss of 0.6 for the week. But I just keep plugging along. Eventually I will reach goal. It might not be until next summer at this rate, but next summer is going to come whether or not I stay on my diet, so I might as well be at goal weight when it does arrive.

Take care!

Weee! Down to 171.6 today. Although, I have to admit that starting yesterday I started a 7-day fruit and veggie cleanse...ONLY because I have to lose a quick 5 pounds to fit into a dress I'm wearing to a Halloween party on Saturday. Then it's back on Jenny Sunday morning. I know I'll probably put a couple pounds back on from doing this because it's a quick loss, but I'm okay with this. I just don't want to be uncomfortable in my costume all night long.

Holy canoli! I'm down another 0.8 and am only a pound away from being in my 160s. This is the push I was hoping for. But I have to say that this cleanse is a killer and boring as heck, and I'm already looking forward to getting back on Jenny. Oh, how I miss my nightly desserts. But I'll stick it out until the party this Saturday or until that dress fits, whichever comes first. Doing the happy dance over here in the meantime.

How are things going for you, Lyn?

Hallelujah!!! I'm in the 160s!!!! I haven't seen the 160s in 3 years and it feels great. I can't believe I dropped 1.2 pounds since yesterday. This cleanse is great for the fast weight loss, even though it stinks in variety and taste. Don't get me wrong...I love my fruits and veggies, but when that's all you get to eat for 3 days straight, you start hankering for a chicken leg or something different. So I'll be flying high all day long. Just 2 more days to go, possibly 3 if the dress doesn't fit on Friday. Woooooo hooooooo!

Woah, sounds like your outfit will fit perfectly after your cleanse! 1.2 in a day is amazing! I only lost 0.8 this WEEK! hoping for something much more substantial next week. These slow weeks really do my head in!! Did my first spin class in like 10 years this morning. I am all ouchy! But I'll be going again. Think I really need to start pushing things to get results. Wish me luck this week! And have a great party! What are journal dressing up as?

Thanks Lyn! And congrats on the 0.8 lost this week. I'm sure those spinning classes will help give you an even bigger loss next week. Those classes really torch some major calories.

I was only down another 0.2 this morning, but I'm still just jazzed and grateful to be in my 160s that I'm happy with that. That makes a total of 3.2 for my official weigh in.

Today is supposed to be my last day on this cleanse, but if this dress doesn't fit well tomorrow morning, I'll probably do a couple more days. UGH! I'm so tired of all this fruit and veggies only.

I'll be going as Joan Holloway from Mad Men. I bought a replica dress from the show online in a size 12 and actually thought it might be a little loose on me since I'm fitting into size 10s now. This way I could pad the bust and booty a bit since Joan is so curvy. But I could barely squeeze into it when it arrived. It fit more like a very small size 9-10. Hopefully it'll fit tomorrow, because I can't wait to get back on JC.

Cool Halloween dress up idea! You will feel so sexy! Good luck with the dress. Sizing can be so frustrating, really wish retailers were consistent. Hope it fits nicely after all your veggies. I've never been able to sustain cleanses, I get so bored so quickly. So I can feel your pain! Let me know how you go. We don't really celebrate Halloween here in Australia, although it is becoming a bit more popular. The retailers and supermarkets are really pushing Halloween this year, but it's so rare to see anyone trick or treating or dressing up. Wish we did though, I love dress up parties!

Thank you, Lyn. When I was a kid, trick-or-treating was really big; the streets were filled with kids in costumes and no one decorated their homes for Halloween except for maybe one pumpkin cut into your basic Jack-O-Lantern face. But these days there are only a handful of kids trick-or-treating and almost every other house is decorated with all sorts of Halloween decorations. It's crazy how it switched around.

The dress did zip up much easier this morning (down another 0.4 this) and looks nicer on me, but I think I'll reluctantly stick this cleanse out today and most of the day tomorrow until the party, where I have to be super careful with what I eat...or I just might pop out if my seams. lol Worse yet, the next day I know I'll be up 2-3 pounds and this whole cleanse would have been for nothing. So I think I'll have to very slowly add back in my Jenny Foods so I don't shock my body all at once.

Have a super weekend, Lyn!

Another 0.6 down and I am OFFICIALLY done with this cleanse. If I never see another watermelon again, it'll be too soon. I was 168.4 this morning. I tried on my dress again. It certainly fits a lot better than 3 weeks ago, but I secretly wish I had at least another 3 weeks until this party. I had only lost an inch off my waist in that time (any other time, I'd be thrilled with that). Another inch would have made me more comfortable. Nothing to do about it now though.

So I'm just doing a lean protein and veggie day today and tomorrow, because I feel if I just jump back onto JC today from a strict cleanse, I'll slap on 2-3 pounds overnight. No Bueno!

Hi Lyn, I just thought I'd post a couple pictures of me in that Joan Holloway dress since I talked about it so much and suffered to get into it.

Here I am with my sweet hubby (aka Don Draper):

And here's a close up of how my wig hair and makeup came out. I was pretty happy with it. I'm especially happy with how my double chin is going away.

And just so you know where I started from at my heaviest (well, it's of me at 225. I don't have any pictures of me at 235), when I started Jenny Craig and what I look like now, I made a little collage:

Sandy, you look so fantastic! It really shows on your face (and everywhere else!). Well done! Love the Joan outfit too, and red hair suits you! And well done on getting into the dress
I had a pretty good loss this week. 1.1 kg, or a bit over 2 pounds. Thank goodness, because I was going crazy after a few weeks of small losses! Not sure I will be losing much this week either... It's spring here in Melbourne, and I am off to the races tomorrow. We are going to the fancy corporate marquee area, where there will be free flowing food and alcohol. Yay! But yikes! I am really going to try to control myself, but I tend to lose all my resolve after a few glasses of bubbles! I know how calorie laden alcohol is... So wish me luck in keeping my resolve!
