Seattle Sutton's healthy eating?

My husband heard about this and there is a local distributor in our town. The food is fresh and you pick up or get delivery twice a week. We are doing BistroMD right now and like it a lot, but we are considering giving this a try. It is a lot cheaper than Bistro but there is less flexibility (you get 21 meals a week, that's it) We currently only get lunch and dinner from Bistro. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has tried it?

I've been on it in the past, here's a thread where we discuss it.

Kelly, you know I love BMD, but if I were in a local delivery area, I'd try SSHE in a heartbeat. For the local pickup price, it's a steal, even if you throw the breakfasts away(which I wouldn't do). The full 7 day plan (local) is cheaper than anyone else's delivery 5 day plan. I think I heard that they started a 5 day, but for the price, I'd do the 7 day and pick and choose. From everything I've read/heard, there have been no complaints at all about the quality of the food, which is a good thing. As we've all talked about before, it's personal preference...some people really enjoy the taste of the SSHE food, others just didn't care for it. But like I said before, I'd give it a whirl around the dancefloor in a second if I could pick it up (instead of paying $80/wk for shipping!). Be sure to look at the 'skinnyonseattlesutton' blog. She did a good job of documenting it, and as someone else pointed out, Seattle doesn't change much over time. Keep us posted!

The food is fairly decent. A little Midwestern bland (but a lot more exciting than Nutrisystem, which is the only other service I've been on, to which I can compare). I imagine most delivery services have to develop food that most people will, therefore middle-of-the road seasoning is safest.

The fruit is often a little under-ripe. I don't remember now which ones I could ripen on the counter if I took them out before I refrigerated the meals. I sometimes bought a few pieces of fruit to substitute for the fruit or fruit juice in some of the meals. I hate most fruit juices, and I could dilute some with diet Sprite and/or Crystal Light to make them palatable, but some were hopeless (like prune juice, blegh).
