I don't binge but I am overweight so how can this apply to me?

It may not apply to you. Not everyone who is overweight is a compulsive overeater. I recommend that you go to www.oa.org and take a look around. There are a list of questions that you can answer to help you discover if you are a compulsive overeater.

When I first came to OA, I didn't know what a binge was. I had never had a name for what I did. I also wasn't aware that I ate because I was angry, lonely, or tired. All I knew was that I couldn't stop eating sometimes and that I was tired of being fat. OA gave meaning to my experiences and helped me make sense of my food life.
