my first OA meeting is tonight
 

I'm jumping in. I'm going to my first meeting tonight. I feel a little stressed about it.
My first WW meeting will be this Friday. Meetings abound.

I've been thinking about what my expectations are for tonight, and I'm hoping to find some support and information to help me be in control of the amount that I eat.:dizzy:

Hi ellis, thanks for asking. The meeting went well. They were kind and honest people. I'm going to go to a few more meetings to see if it's for me.

I just started both as well last week. Did you go to a Newcomers meeting or a regular?

Congratulations on going to your first meeting!

After going to the OA meeting, I didn't go to the WW meeting. I felt like I had enough to work on with OA, and I didn't want to feel overwhelmed. It was a regular meeting, and I'm still attending. It has really helped me. I now have a sponsor and through reading, meetings, and prayer I'm currently free from my obsession with certain foods. It's fantastic.
