what's wrong with me?
I've been on Ww now for 19 weeks. I've done real good and have lost 59 lbs. all of a sudden I want to eat everything in site. I will wait until everyone is in bed to cheat. I'm even lying to myself by not writting the correct or all the points doen in my daily journal.
What do I do? Help! |
First of all Congratulations! Yes, you need to congratulate yourself for losing 59 pounds in less than 5 months. That's huge.
Secondly, I'm not sure how much more you have to lose, but perhaps your slowing down in the pounds per week lost process. That can feel discouraging. For me (lifetimer now for 4 years - but I gained back 13 lbs - and so have gone back to WW basics :) The fat brat inside me, is very very sneaky    especially late at night and on weekends. Some things that are helping me... I excercise and use those extra activity points. There are days / nights that I'm just plain starving. I find protein helps , like a couple of hard boiled eggs. Also fruit, yes fruit, like an apple, a bowl of cherries, 20 cherries equal only 2 points, sometimes does the trick. And yes, I eat a lot of grilled and roasted veggies. If I'm being particularly good, I cook them early so I have them to munch on later. A half a pat of butter some salt or soy sauce salt peper and minced garlic sauteed, and then baked / broiled and voila! heaven. Also celery and salsa is 0 points. I like the salt. Health Choice Organic popcorn or Orville Reddenbacher's 94% fat free - I believe are only 2 points for a whole bag. And those 2point bar help during the day. I have gotten the 12 week journal and I am writing EVERYTHING down. Even when I have 50 point days. Thank G-d they'r enot very often. But it clues me in to how I'm feeling. And those feelings do effect us. I've started a 12 week challege thread - might be worth joining in - Also I have a buddy I call when I'm shaky or have gone off program. It helps to commiserate. In addition, I find I have to set new goals - pretty much every month to keep my focus - and I need to give my self rewards. Keep up the good fight... you are worth it. Patch |
Hi there!
Wow- rescue- that's AMAZING! Congratulations.....what a HUGE accomplishment. How did you do it??? I've been on WW for 15 weeks, and I've lost 25.4 lbs. I know exactly what you're saying - I have weeks where I cannot put enough food in my mouth! What I usually end up doing is giving into the temptation.......especially on the PMS weeks. I tend to compensate in other areas, though......with excercize, lots of water, smaller breakfast and lunch, etc. I think what Patch is saying is right on. It's hard to adjust when the points go down......and yours must be decreasing rapidly at the rate you're losing at. I say, get as many low point snacks as you can and stock the house. If you have to eat the thing you're craving....make sure you compensate. In any case - don't give up! You're doing SO well! I'm envious that I'm not losing as quickly!!:^: Keep it up! Cheers, Taunia |
:?: Thank's guy's for the reply. Tuania, i'm a man, if I wish I had PMS to blame. I started at 343 lbs. I want to lose at least another 80 or so. I have been doing the journal, alot of water and I have started walking about 2 miles every morning, 3 to 5 days a week.
I keep telling myself what the WW leader always says: "we're looking for progression, not perfection. Easy for her to say when at 2 am I'm circuling the fridge. I weigh in today, I almost hope it I have a slight gain to shake me. So far it has been too easy. I've got to get real and understand this is forever if I want to reach and "STAY" thinner.:D Thank's Rescue / Larry |
Feeling Better!!!!
:dizzy: Feeling better, weighed in last night after a terrible week of crazy cheating binge I went on last weekend.
I still lost and I think I've got a handle on the stinkin thinkin.  |
late night eatting
You might try takeing two tylenol P.M it will make you sleep all night.. You really are not hungry in the middle of the night it is your head talking to you.. Just say I am NOT letting this food boss me around.. I know it is hard I suffer with the same thing.. if you have to get up drink you a glass of tea finish the whole glass and then if you are truely hungry eat some thing like a few crackers.. I do wish there were more adding to this board. you have done so well on your weight loss... that is quite a acomplishment.. Vicky

Your body is starting to react on you! That's what's happening. It wants to get back to the old eating habits because it LIKES fat and sugar. Do not give in, it will pass. Exercizing also helps keeping the need down (but maybe you can eat a small meal before or after)
Just do it!:) |
