First OA meeting today
 

Just wanted to post that I attended my first OA meeting today....after months of procrastination. The other members were very welcoming, and I intend on going to another meeting this Saturday.

Question: How do you define abstinence?

I haven't got the courage to go to a face to face meeting but i go online all the time. I'm a big chicken, if i went i'd probably not say anything anyways.

about abstinence, i guess it depends on what eating plan your on. You can follow whatever plan you choose. I consider myself abstinent if i stay within my plan and don't eat compulsively (you know, for no reason other than to eat). some people eat 3 meals and a snack and consider it abstaining just to stick to that, it's when you can't seem to stop eating that there off plan.
