Honeymoon is over
 

Hi All:

Well, it's been awhile since I was here. I went to my first OA meeting in about 2 months last night. I sure needed to be there. I read a sentence (step 3) that referred to the honeymoon period and it really struck home. In lots of ways, I think OA is like marriage. It's a commitment, a dedication and a lot of work. But--it does lift us out of that food obsession and allow us to make peace with ourselves. I'm grateful for the fellowship I have received.

Never thought OA as marriage but I think you are right and they are both worth the committment, faitfulness, work and Love.

Congrats on two months in OA! While the "honeymoon" may be over, the wonderful relationship continues on. If you find yourself struggling, pray about it. Pick up the phone and call someone.
