51 days abstinent
 

I'm 51 days abstinent today guys! My gratitude to God and to OA is huge. I'm so scared I'll lose this precious gift of abstinence, that I'm almost afraid to mark little 'birthdays, but I guess it's good to do that.

51 days of truth and peace and struggle followed by peace and awareness and more struggle, and for the first time in the arena of food, I have felt among friends.

There's been dark spots when my hope seemed so distant, and that's when your help really kicked in. To be honest, some days get so tough, I can't log on here, but it's weird, your posts stay with me, and get me through.

I hope and pray I keep on. Keeping on.

As I grow in this program I realize I have so much to learn. My sponsor said a change in food plan is not a loss of abstinence. Silly me I thought I was making mistakes everyday. I need to seriously define my abstinence before I fall into the "all or nothing" frame of mind. I keep trying to mimick past diet programs and I need to stop that. Thank goodness for Sponsors and all of you.
