Today is Day 22 for me and I'm down 14 pounds. So of all the things I've tried, I've had the most success with this. I'm excited to continue because I see the results. And, by the way, the days with no weight loss occurred at the beginning when I thought I could add some stuff in without consequence.

Hi! I just started and am on day 3. I'm really liking it and have seen a 3lb loss so far.
For the people who asked, there are four 17 day cycles. On cycle one you only eat lean proteins, cleansing veggies, 2 low sugar fruits before 2pm, 2 yogurts, green tea, hot lemon water (which I skip) in the morning, and lots of water. You can also have fat free cheeses and lots of different condiments. It's working for me. It's not so bad if you're creative. Today, I kinda wanted carbs, so I just made mashed cauliflower (using fat free sour cream that's allowed) along with ground turkey breast patties cooked with onion and mushrooms. I added a little steak sauce. The first phrase should break you from carb/sugar addictions. It'll be the hardest, but you'll also see the biggest weight loss. The book says 10-15 lbs in phase 1. |
oh..i want to try this but can I know about the diet in detail...
sorry im new.. |
I started this plan yesterday. Anyone out there doing it and want to buddy up? I have 50 lbs to lose but for now I'm concentrating on the first 20 so that I can fit back into my clothes.

I started last Fall. I lost weight pretty fast on cycle 1. But, then I went off plan over the holidays. Cycle 1 is very restrictive but the days do go by quickly and you really look forward to oatmeal & yams for cycle 2. There is a ton of recipes on the doctors webiste. Ive also heard of a new cookbook by Dr. Mike. Not sure if it's out yet.
