Well, my weight has started to SLOWLY creep up. I've gained in between 3-6 pounds. I know that isn't a lot and my clothes don't fit any differently, but I need to nip this in the bud before anything drastic happens!
I really need to start tracking (with fit-day) what I'm eating again, I need to drink more water and I need to make better choices. I've come to the decision that I need to stop eating oatmeal packets mixed with water for breakfast and Lean Cuisines for lunch. I need to be more natural with my eating. So, I'm going grocery shopping tonight and here are some ideas I've come up with for what to eat:
Breakfast:
1.regular oatmeal mixed with:
sugar-free applesauce and cinammon
raisins, dates and cinnamon
other fruits with some splenda
low-fat, low-calorie yogurt
2. One whole egg scrambled with 2 egg whites
Can add veggies and put on a whole wheat english muffin with fat free cheese.
3. Veggie Pita
4. 2 hard-boiled eggs, cut up with some tomatoe, mushrooms and ff cheese.
Lunch:
1.A big salad with a variety of veggies mixed with ff cheese, canned tuna or canned chicken with a slice of whole-grain bread.
2. Whole wheat tortilla or pita spread with hummous with veggies and roasted turkey breast.
3. Tuna salad made with ff mayo on whole wheat bread. or other types of sandwiches.
Snacks
1. Low fat/ff string cheese
2. carrot sticks
3. celery sticks with ff or low-fat cream cheese
4. Low fat/ low calorie yogurt
5. fruit
6. Cucumber with ff salad dressing
7. FF cool whip with strawberries
8. Baked Tostitos with black bean dip, salsa or hummous
Dinner
My husband usually makes dinner. I always have a large salad before dinner. Now, I'm going to start watching my portion sizes again. One small serving of lean meat. Sometimes a baked potato with low-fat sour cream, sometimes sweet potatoe fries, or rice and beans. And a large serving of veggies.
What do you guys think? Does this sound good? Do you have any suggestions for me?
Thank you!!
