Loss of appetite
Going into week 3 of my weight-loss plan, I'm finding myself losing my appetite. I started off eating three square meals a day, plus a couple snacks between them, and I was feeling great. Now I'm barely eating anything. For example, yesterday I had one meal: a skinless chicken breast, a bunch of steamed broccoli, and a piece of sourdough bread (no butter). I had a couple snacks (an apple, a fun-sized bag of chips and half a cinnamon bun, oy!) but my calorie intake was under 1100! Normally I shoot for between 1400-1600, so it just seems really weird. Should I be worried, or is this normal?

I think it's common to go low on some days, same as it is to be quite high on others. I wouldn't worry about it, just be conscious of it the next day as your body (or mind) might then decide it is starving and could spur a binge. I wouldn't force yourself to eat necessarily, and I think the food that you did eat was good, just be careful you don't overdo it the next day. There are a lot of reasons your appetite might have been low, hopefully you just satisfied your body with all the things you needed and therefore weren't hungry. That's a good sign, but it won't always be that easy :)

Hello. That happens to me quite often. Though your hunger may build up again a week after, I'd suggest that you eat at least 1600 calories. I find that occasionally I'm not hungry at all and yet those missing calories find their way back to my tummy!

Happens to me too. Just make sure overall you are eating enough calories. Starvation is not a good diet!

For the past few days, I've only realized that I haven't had enough calories when it's almost bedtime. Is it better to have a snack to convince my body that I'm not starving, or to wait because it's so late in the day?
