Carbs?
I was just reviewing my food intake on fitday and noticed that most of my calories are from carbs. I hope that is not a bad thing. I don't consume alot of unhealthy carbs, most of the carbs come from fruit, protein supplement, etc. When I do eat bread,it's whole wheat, and never more than 2 slices/day. Any advice would be helpful.:?:

Unless you are following a low carb diet, then it's probably more important to look at where those carbs are coming from, than how many you consume. I hate the way the media and industry have turned carbs into a dirty word. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains - they are all carbs, and all loaded with important nutrients. If you consume any of the unhealthy carbs, like junk food, then you might take a closer look at how much you eat, and try to curb that. But it sounds like you are probably on track :) What percentage of carbs/fat/protein are you taking in?

Carbs don't make you fat. Excess calories make you fat :)
However, there are good carbs and bad carbs and many people choose to watch 'refined' carbs, like sugars, processed foods and packaged foods (cookies, crackers, chips, etc). However, regardless of what you eat, as long as you take in fewer calories than you burn, you'll still lose weight. |
looks like everythings under control...good carbs are good. your body needs the nutrients
