Hemp protein powder is high fiber, high protein AND low fat. It's a nearly perfect food!

Soy (tofu, yogurt, powder, "meats" etc.) are high protein and low fat. I eat beans (I know you wanted some besides beans ;) ) and LOTS of lentils.

Don't overlook the protein found in foods you eat everyday...calorie for calorie, broccoli has more protein than animal flesh for instance!

I've heard that before about the animal flesh and broccoli ... I don't understand it. According to fitday.com 221 cals of chicken breast has twice as much protein as 222 cals of broccoli and the equivalent in roasted beef is about 20% more and pork tenderloin is about a third again more and salmon is too. I wonder where that broccoli thing comes from.

It's the percentage of calories as protein...Some charts vary, but the chart I have says for instance, broccoli is 45% and for beef it's 31%. This is what was told to me by doctors/nutritionists as well.
