Can't get my nutrient requirements...

  • I'm barely hitting my RDA for most of my nutrients each day. I can't seem to get enough of the nutrients in my diet. I can't take a multivitamin as I have IBS and for some reason every one I've tried agravates my symptoms. I'm mostly concerned about calcium, folate, and b-vitamins. I've tried taking them as individual supplements but experienced problems as well. Any tips on hitting my RDA or anyone know of an IBS friendly vitamin?
  • I'd be tempted to go to a health food store and ask. If you know for sure what ingredients in conventional vitamin tablets set you off, maybe they make one without.
    I'm relatively certain they make them without dairy, wheat, gluten .... you get the picture?
    I'd be worth a try.

    Unfortunately I do not know specifically what set me off. Since multi vitamins have so many nutrients I would have to take each individually to find out which does. Thanks for the tip though.
