Pizza counting?

My family orders Papa Johns pizza one to two times a week. On the rare occasion I decide to eat some, I have no idea how to count it. I use Sparkpeople, but don't know how to input the pizza when I can't find the information. We order large pizzas with random toppings and Papa Johns only releases the nutritional info for their specialty pizzas.

Any ideas on how to count this stuff?

Can you see what the other pizza places use as calculations and maybe get close using their info? You could compare the same kind/toppings for a couple from each known pizza at both places just to see how close they are and then extrapolate from there?

It may look like it's only for specialty pizzas, but scroll down to the bottom. There is information for cheese, pepperoni, and sausage.

You'll probably still have to estimate for the extra toppings you get on it, but a basic large cheese pizza slice with original crust will have 290 calories.

Also, by subtracting the calories of the cheese from the pepperoni and sausage, it looks like adding either sausage or pepperoni will add about 40 calories per slice. For vegetables, just look up the caloric value online and decide from there.

Hope that helps :)
