Default Food to take on airplane

Hi all! Let's brainstorm about what foods to pack to stay within points and away from all the overpriced and undernourishing stuff on the plane and at airports:

Apples
Almonds
String or other packaged cheese
Some sort of salad that won't leak (spinach leaves, carrots to snack on dry)
Sandwich on whole-grain bread: turkey/pesto (no mayo) OR PB
Bouillon cubes: request hot water
Cooked quinoa with veggies in a tupperware

For the lazier times: various cereal bars

Also bring an empty water bottle that can be filled once past security.

Turkey wraps are easy to carry, put the mustard (that you got from your local deli) on the wrap just before eating so it does not get soggy
celery, cleaned and cut up and if you scout around sometimes you can find pb in a travel packet. (I just can't remember where I got mine)

not sure if this will work but cook your 'choice' ramon noodles and drain. then put in container and ask for hot water to heat it up, add flavor packet--there is your soup

Then there is always your favorite flavored popcorn

Thanks, Nancy! I found some info on this topic at one of my favorite sites:
