A Great Hot Choc to try is by SwissMiss, it's 25cal per packet and 0pts for one, but it only makes 6oz, so I usually make two pkts, for 1pt {this is one of those pesky times that 0+0=1} so rich and creamy, great choc taste too.
I got this recipe at my meeting last week, made it in the crock pot, so delish WW Hearty Chii 1cup/1pt 10oz Ground Turkey Breast 1 med onion-diced 2 green peppers-diced 1 14oz cans diced/crushed tomatoes {depending on if you like it chunky} 1 14oz can kidney beans 2 14oz cans beef broth{I used the dry no-sodium pkts and added water} 4 celery stalks- diced 1 package chili seasonings {I did add some additional "hot" seasonings} 2 med each yellow and green squash- {shredded mine, but can be diced} First saute your onions and peppers in a pan, sprayed first, with non-stick spray, then brown off your turkey, then combine all ingredients in a crockpot but the squash, until the last 30mins of cooking, or they will be too mushy. Cook on low 6-8hrs. Season to taste, depending on, if you like it mild or hot. |
I'm making caramel apples to give away to friends this year, and I think I'll indulge by making myself one with less caramel and planning for it in my calories for the day.
This is going to be my treat in the place of Halloween candy! |

Jaime, I am a squashes and cinnamon gal in the fall as well :)
I LOVE making whole turkey breasts, whole chickens, pork roasts, etc in the fall and using the extra meat for soups. Then I single portion out the soups into those 2 cup containers with the screw on tops and freeze them. YUMMY. I just love being in the kitchen in the fall! I also love making roasted potatoes and veggies. Ok all this is making me very hungry! Oh and I usually will make mulled wine in the fall (wine, a little bit of brown sugar, a little water, and mulling spices in the slow cooker) but not this fall since I can't have any alcohol. Bummer! :( |
Pumkin anything... Starbucks Pumpkin spice skinny latte, pumpkin dip made with creamcheese and 10x sugar on ginger snaps um um good. Almost any kind of soup or chilli. I am planning on making a pot of dried lima beans with ham and dumplings this weekend. I can't wait. Oh and I want to try a white chili.
Oatmeal, (specially vanilla cinnamon) with a tsp of craisins and a diced apple. That will stay with you for a while. I even keep this things in my locker at work to have for a satisfing lunch when I want something hot and nutritious. |
