Under 200 by my birthday

  • My 25th birthday is on September 27th. It is also the day two of my very close friends are getting married!

The day would be so much sweeter for me if I were under 200 by then. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to do it but then again I haven't been very strict lately. I've just been eating way too much junk, using up ALL of my flex points... I need to start eating more at breakfast I think so I'm not as hungry by lunch. Right now I'm eating a banana and a 1 point yogurt. Are there any good protein shakes out there that really help keep you full? I could eat a heavier breakfast but my stomach can't handle heavy food early in the morning.

And do you think that's a realistic mini-goal? 8 pounds in 6 weeks should be doable I think.
  • 8 pounds in 6 weeks is very doable! You have a goal, you have great motivation for wanting to make that goal, and you know what you need to do to make it happen! That being said, remember that even if you lose 7 pounds in 6 weeks (falling short of your goal) it will have been nothing but a success. Only you know the number on the scale anyway, not the people at the wedding

As for filling up your breakfast, could you try adding just a hardboiled egg or something to your banana and yogurt? That would give you protein and you'd actually get to chew your food, which for me always increases my feeling of satisfaction. Or can you add a mid-morning snack to your day, so you are not starving at lunch? Something worth two or three points that combines protein and carbs? That would certainly help you out a little.

    Good luck!
  • You can do it!!!
  • Good luck. I hope to be under 200 by Christmas.

For breakfast I have a whole grain bagel with ff cream cheese, a WW yogurt and an apple for a 4 pt. breakfast that keeps me full until lunch.

  • 8 lbs in six weeks? You can do that! Easy Peasy!

Fiber and protein in the morning for breakfast. I have found those little canadian bacon circles that you can put on pizza near the pepperoni. Those work great on a piece of Village Hearth toast (1 slice = 0 points) along with egg beaters... yummy sandwich.

FiberOne (1/2 cup = 0 pts) with ww yogurt (2 pts) and a 1 1/2 cup of strawberries (1 pt)

There are lots of ideas in the recipe thread as well as other threads around here with breakfast in the title.

We will be rooting for ya!
  • Totally do-able! Stick with the program - lots of fiber / lots of fruit/veggies! Make sure you get your water, and maybe try to limit your weekly flex points a little rather than using all 35 and MOVE! You can do it!
  • Just wanted to update you all!

I haven't been sticking to WW... I for some reason got out of the habit of counting my points.

BUT... I still have somehow managed to lose another 3 pounds since I last updated! So only 5 pounds to go and I've got 18 days to do it!

To make sure I don't mess up my progress I'm going to quit slacking and get back to counting my points. My schedule is super busy with classes starting up again and it's the busy time at my work so I'm always on the go. That puts a little activity into my day. But I think I'm going to go with my mom's suggestion of starting off a exercise regimen at 15 minutes a week.

    Hope everyone is doing well!!!!
