  • I was standing up talking with my husband and dropped something on the floor. It landed right between my feet. Straight down, right between my feet.

I looked down as I was talking to him, and bent over and picked it up.

I BENT OVER AND PICKED IT UP.

Didn't think about it. He looked at me as I was still talking to him and interrupted me and took what I had dropped and put it between my feet and told me to pick it up. I looked at him like he was nuts and....

BENT OVER AND PICKED IT UP.

He said to me, "When was the last time you remember doing that without squatting and holding your breath?"

I looked at him in total shock, sat down in my computer chair and just started crying my eyes out. He was confused and had to leave the room because he didn't understand why I was crying like I was - hard to comfort someone when you don't expect that reaction.

He came back and I tried to explain it to him and he 'says' he understands... lol.

I know I don't have to explain it to anyone here.

I BENT OVER WITHOUT BENDING MY KNEES OR HAVING TO SQUAT TO PICK UP SOMETHING THAT LANDED BETWEEN MY FEET!
  • Congratulations! It only gets better.
  • That's AWESOME! Good for you!
  • How wonderful that you can do that now. Funny that he was the one that noticed.

  • Chey!! That's so great! I have tears of excitement and understanding in my eyes for you. I wish I could give you a great big hug. And a high five!!
  • Hooray for you! What a great moment!
  • It is posts like yours and watching peoples um..slide/ticker/you know, that inspire me to go at it for another day tomorrow. I am so happy for you!
  • Yeah!! Don't worry we completely understand I'm waiting for the day I can completely put my socks on -- not tucking them on the end of my toes and then rolling my feet forward on the floor to get the rest of them on . I can, however, bend over now and not feel my tummy deciding where the rolls are going to bend
  • Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!!!!! Good luck to you as you continue your weight loss!!!!!!!!!
  • Thank you for your inspiration! I am so happy for you!
  • That is so wonderful! It's funny how shocked you were. Kind of like when I was climbing the stairs at the beach recently, and I suddenly realized i wasn't huffing and puffing, and didn't even have an urge to stop 2/3 up to "rest" a minute before continuing. It was "easy", compared to April, when I was 20 lbs. heavier, or last November when I was 35 lbs. heavier.

    A great motivation!
  • Oh Chey, that is wonderful! We understand those tears. (I can't help but think of what your poor husband must have thought! :lol) What an amazing realization - proof that it really is working, you are doing wonderful things for yourself! Way to go!!
  • Beautiful! Chey, you rock and you crack me up, 2 very good things!

I can't wait to see your "after" pictures because I KNOW you will be an "after"
