low point chocolate fix!

MMMMM MMMM MMMMM....

Have you tried the Jello premade Sugar Free Dark Chocolate pudding? I had one of these today with my lunch. It was heaven....and I have this "points calculator" and they are only 1.3 points (I'll round them up to two)!!!

This would probably be even better with a few almonds; I love nuts. :carrot: Just wanted to share my new "finding" with the group...

I bought a pack last week and only have had one so far - but I agree...it was well worth it...think I'm going to go have #2 right now :) Yum!

*adding that to my grocery list!*

I have found that if I work a WW dessert into my menu every other day, I don't have those cravings like I used to. Keeps me on track when I do that rather than avoid sweets altogether. That is even less than one of those! :)

Not totally chocolate, but a sweet fix. Wal-Mart's Great Value brand has 98% fat free, no sugar added ice cream sandwiches that work out to 2 points each. Not too bad a price, and even DH liked the one I gave him last night...and he's picky about artificially sweetened stuff.

I was looking at the Weight Watchers treats, but even at Wal-Mart they're over $4/pack. I chose the GV ones because of the price/quantity. I will get around to trying the WW ones. Some of their stuff looks delicious! But there are so many reduced-cal/fat/sugar ice cream goodies out there these days. I saw the WW latte bars and almost got them. But DS was with me and was "threatening" to eat them. I'll have to get them when the kids aren't around and I can hide them, lol!!

One thing I've found that falls along the lines of the No-Pudge brownies, is the Mini Warm Delights from Betty Crocker. They're 3 pts of chocolatey, gooey decadence, lol. A little higher than the 2 points for a No-Pudge or a Fiber One Bar, but the one I had a few weeks back REALLY hit the spot for the chocolate craving I was having.

OMG So the "Snickers Pie" recipe that is on this site somewhere... can't find it or I'd repost it... IS DELICIOUS!! here's how i made it:

1 pint SF LF/FF Vanilla Ice cream
1/2 cup FF cool whip
2 tbs peanut butter (recipe calls for Crunchy PB but i didn't have it)
1 sm packet SF FF Chocolate Pudding
Mix and freeze

The pie I made was 11 points for the whole thing so if divided into 4 it's almost 3 pts a serving, divide into more and it's less but it's soooooooooo delicious and hits the chocolaty spot! lol My BF even liked it and he HATES artificial sweetener taste... There's no diet taste to it at all... all the great taste and none of the guilt!! oh so yummy!:D:dizzy:

I like the Hostess mini chocolate cakes. They have three mini cupcakes to a package and they are only 1 point.

You can freeze jello pudding cups and it is really good! Makes it last longer too. :)

That snickers pie sounds fabulous!

JennT-WW stuff is expensive. When I first joined I bought a lot of ww products but am getting better at finding lower cost alternatives. (at least for breads and yogurts)

I am the queen of the one point sweets...Curves chocolate/peanut bar, ww chocolate cakes, hostess 100 cal pk(I like the crumb coffee cake), ww pecan crowns, sugar free jello puddings (I like the chocolate/vanilla swirl). I try to limit to one or 2 per day and make sure I get all my veggies.

Hi - similar to the snickers, I have tried this:

1 fudgsicle
1 scoop FF coolwhip
1 tablespoon Peanut butter.
Let fudgsicle sit in bowl for a few minutes until soft add rest & stir.
Very good!

Just a tip.... 3 TSP of cocoa is 0 points. Add it to some coffee or hot water with splenda... and it is a very low points chocolate fix!

That recipe is one I saw on the South Beach forum here that I wanted to try but never did. The one I DID try was the one where you mix the Cool Whip & PB, then drizzle w/ sugar-free chocolate syrup & freeze. Have no idea what the points would be, but that was decadent!

Another food that has worked for me is plain yougurt (I use Fage 0%) with some Splenda and some cocoa powder. It's thick and sweet.

FF/SF Hot Cocoa mix for me :)
