Points programs

  • I have heard about people going on the older points plans , and if so how are those daily points calculated differently from the current program? I tried googling the older plans but had no luck.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense I am tired but cannot sleep so I thought I would come babble on the boards for a bit

Oh and my current stats are 5'5" 244 female with an activity level of zip (damn desk jobs) not nursing etc since I think? we aren't supposed to be posting formulas and such.

    Thanks in advance!
  • They used to calculate points by figuring in fiber up to 10 grams. Fiber is good for you, but there is a limit to about how much calories will be used becuase of the fiber. According to dwlz.com people were cheating the system so they put a limit on the fiber of 4 grams.
  • Your daily points used to be just figured by your weight, I don't remember the numbers but you got a range, like 25-28 or something you know, depending on your weight range and I don't think they had the flex, but you could save some of them up. Now they look at your lifestyle, as well as weight and height and stuff. And activity pts. were just like 1 for every 20 minutes after your 1st 20, now they figure in exertion and your weight for APs which makes alot more sense.
  • Thanks for the responses! I appreciate it, as I am a nosy nellie and wanted to figure why they changed it from time to time hehe.
