I have a major NSV to report. My dh, dd, and dd's bf were in a serious car accident Wednesday. Everyone's ok now but where I would have totally went off plan and eaten whatever, sending myself into a tailspin never to recover, I made really good choices and stayed within points for the most part. I went over by a couple but I have WPA's for that. Here's a big example: when dh and I were coming home Wed night, we dropped off his prescriptions and went to get something to eat. Don't you know a BK chicken sandwich with cheese and fries with mayo sounded soo good? Instead I chose Subway and got a 6 in. turkey on wheat with no cheese or dressing and lots of veggies! I have not wavered at all and with all the stress (dd's bf is still in the hosp for observation) I've done so well!
When I rejoined, our leader had a quote up on the board that really struck me...it's the one in my siggy..."don't exchange what you want most for what you want at the moment." I've kept that in the back of my head all week and especially through all of this! Go me!! lol

Mama I'm so glad to hear everyone is okay, and hopefully will be released from the hospital soon.
Awesome, not only were you able to make great choices, you also stuck with them, in spite of your cravings. Great Job!
I love that quote, thanks for sharing it

OKAY...I finally have a Non Scale Victory!
Last night, I got home at 2am and was drunk (the alcohol was planned into my points).
Anyways, I was really hungry, and usually when I am drunk I eat anything.
But instead, since I was out of points, I just ate a BUNCH of carrots.

nice job vday! hope you had fun! my boyfriend...er, ex-boyfriend, is on his way to pick up a bottle of wine for us now, it'll be my first sip in a week (nearly a record). Hopefully Ms. Hyde doesn't come out, diet-wise (i'm quite a happy drunk! just often a hungry one, too). i'll think of you when i get the munchies.

Well my NSV is I did NOT step on the scale, until last night, I know, I was going to wait until Thursday at WI, but I needed to know before my WI today, if I would be happy or sad. I can tell you I was proud of myself for not getting on the scale, until last night, but a bit sad that I've stayed on program and did not see a loss, infact a slight gain. Okay it's only .4. I've been on the Wendie program for the past 3 wks, maybe it's time for another change. Makes me wonder what am I doing wrong
