pizza bites
These are a wonderful snack, really helps satisify the pizza cravings. Especially good if you are a "pepperoni snatcher" :D
Pizza Bites pepperoni (as many as you want to make) pizza sauce ( I use ragu, it is SF) pizza cheese blend Place pepperoni on paper towels and microwave on high for 20-30 seconds. Transfer to a plate or baking sheet if using the oven. Place a small dab of pizza sauce in the center of each pepperoni and top with cheese. Microwave or bake until cheese is melted. YUMMY and low carb too! ( I usually take a pepcid before I eat these :D ) Ellie 171/167/120 |
Two things:
If you overlap the pepperoni and micro them, the pepperonis will adhere to each other and give you a larger surface to make your "pizza." Second, www.latortillafactory.com has tortillas that are only 3 grams of carbs each and they make a good base for a pizza snack. I wouldn't say they're the tastiest things on the earth, but they hold the sauce, cheese and pepperoni real well and they bake up pretty crisp. Thanks for the idea, ElliE! |
