Home-made Yogurt

Does anyone have a recipe for making yogurt? If you do, please post it. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure the book Why French Women Don't Get Fat has a couple of recipes. I'm remembering a simple version and a more involved version? Never tried them myself though and don't know the points. Might want to check it out at a bookstore and copy it down.

Depending on what you are doing you might be able to use Dannon Light and Fit Vanilla and add whatever you need. This is only one point per serving itself and is great with fresh or frozen fruit added.

I made it years ago before it became widely available. It was my flower child stage. "Mum, why can't we just eat normal food like the Greens do?" I know you have to start with "real" yogurt from the health food store. I'll check my recipes.

Why do you want to make it rather than buy it? It sure is cheaper to make it but is a bit of a hassle.

I just Googles it and here's a link. http://www.allfreecrafts.com/giftina...e-yogurt.shtml
That's how I made it. I just may make it again because it's getting hard to get plain unflavoured yogurt and I sometimes use it for cooking or to make yogurt cheese.

I'm lacatose intolerant and regular yogurt causes me extreme gastric distress. Thank you for sending me the link.

homemade yogurt recipes and more

this post that prompted me to register with 3FC, HI Ya'll!!!

I have a file from a county extension agency in my recipe files that fits so well here, but, it's not set to nutritional values or WW points.

I tried to get my new cookbook software to calculate the points, but it couldn't compute "2 tablespoons of plain yogurt", sooo I went googling.

in my google search I found a page, which is much better than the one in my files... but still it isn't calculated for WW points. I still think it would be very useful to a lot of you
:)
and I just found out that I have to earn posting points to be able to share links !
ok well....
I hope it is ok to tell you to google "nutrition fact plain yogurt 2 tablespoon"

and the first hit is moondragon's page with the yogurt recipes
