NSV-Someone made me cry today....
 

...in a GOOD way!

Actually, two people made me cry, believe it or not. The first was my friend John from MySpace (if you are on MySpace & you are looking for a weight loss god, check him out! I don't know if I can post his URL so if you'd like it, PM me...) Anyway -- he was dying to go to the Ellen show next week because she was the person who inspired him to start moving, when he weighed over 560 lbs. Now he's lost over 150 & he's on his way to a healthy life and I was so proud of him that I began flooding Ellen's email & voice mail, begging for a ticket for John. And I wasn't alone -- I can honestly say a hundred people easy did the same thing! Anyway, John was able to snag a ticket via his local affiliate -- but he made a point to thank me for everything I did...and I cried :)

But then, just as I'm thinking my day is about perfect, I went to work out. There was a woman there who I haven't seen in months, because my schedule changed. She smiled at me and then did a double take and said "Oh my God....look at you -- you look SOOO great!" She asked what I was doing and I told her and she said "You are my inspiration! I know I can do it now!" Choked me up right there.... Then she asked how much more I want to lose & I held up 1 finger and said "One pound...because I won't be overweight after I lose one more pound" and I started crying. She was lovely about it & congratulated me over & over but I have to say, it was just overwhelming to say it out loud: I am only one pound away from not being overweight. I started out as obese, worked my way through overweight and now I am about to cross over into this place that I've only dreamed about for years....

Today is a REALLY great day!

OMG, I'm choked up reading that....I'm so happy for you! Congrats! And I can sooooooo relate because we are the same height and when I get to 159 I will no longer be "overweight" either. I'm inspired.

Tonight on The Biggest Loser finale, Erik & Caroline Rhea introduced my friend John in the audience!!!!!!! Talk about crying....I am all choked up AGAIN thinking about it! How amazing is that???? :carrot:

OnePerDecade, you are one of my inspirations on the boards. We're close in height (5'6" here, and in starting weight: 229 for me), I dream about reaching the number you're at and it's so inspirational to see someone so similar being able to do what I'm working for. It gives me a lot of hope and inspiration, it really does.
