2 NSV's today

  • I had a dr's appt. this AM with a physician that I used to work with 5 yrs. ago. She said "you have lost so much weight, did you have weight loss surgery." I told her no, and told her how I did it and she was very happy for me
A teller at my local bank today said "you have lost a lot of weight , haven't you". I said yes, and she asked how much, so I told her. She had me step back from the counter, and she said "My God, you are completely skinny"..

These were my first compliments in a while and it sure made my day.
  • Thats awesome! BTW You ARE completely skinny!
  • Well deserved compliments, I do say!!!!!!! Fun!
  • Wonderful!!!!

I went to my doctor appointment last week and he gave me a high five! I think I deserved it because he's been after me for at least two years to lose at least 10 pounds. I did better than that!
  • what does NSV mean?
  • NSV is non-scale victory.
Thanks so much everyone. I was happy the doctor noticed , especially since she had bad news to deliver to me. I have bowel adhesions in my pelvis that are causing me a lot of pain and will need another surgery. This will be 4 surgeries in 14 months. I was so depressed to find this out. At least the surgery can be done laparascopic now that I have lost the weight, the first 2 surgeries they had to open me up for because I was too heavy for them to use a laparascope.
  • Congrats! on the NSV. You deserve the compliments.
    Good Luck on the surgery.
  • Thanks
  • Yay, I love compliments! You certainly deserve them.
  • Good for you! You deserve every compliment you get!
    Congrats
  • Wow. I read your fuller story before and I'm sorry to hear you have another health problem!

But those are GREAT NSVs and well deserved!
  • Lilly - thats ANOTHER NSV for you girl. The fact that you have to have surgery but can have it done by laparascopic because YOU LOSE WEIGHT. Recovery should be quicker - GREAT NEWS!!
  • Good for you! You have done a great job! WTG!
  • Thanks everyone. I am depressed today after this news, but you have all helped me feel a little better about the situation.
