Mini-GoalsEven if you're not at goal yet, this is the place to share your successes and achievements along the way! Success can be measured in many ways besides the scales. Tell us about your triumphs, including Non Scale Victories
I had a dr's appt. this AM with a physician that I used to work with 5 yrs. ago. She said "you have lost so much weight, did you have weight loss surgery." I told her no, and told her how I did it and she was very happy for me
A teller at my local bank today said "you have lost a lot of weight , haven't you". I said yes, and she asked how much, so I told her. She had me step back from the counter, and she said "My God, you are completely skinny"..
These were my first compliments in a while and it sure made my day.
I went to my doctor appointment last week and he gave me a high five! I think I deserved it because he's been after me for at least two years to lose at least 10 pounds. I did better than that!
NSV is non-scale victory.
Thanks so much everyone. I was happy the doctor noticed , especially since she had bad news to deliver to me. I have bowel adhesions in my pelvis that are causing me a lot of pain and will need another surgery. This will be 4 surgeries in 14 months. I was so depressed to find this out. At least the surgery can be done laparascopic now that I have lost the weight, the first 2 surgeries they had to open me up for because I was too heavy for them to use a laparascope.
Lilly - thats ANOTHER NSV for you girl. The fact that you have to have surgery but can have it done by laparascopic because YOU LOSE WEIGHT. Recovery should be quicker - GREAT NEWS!!
