Better Funeral Pants

Everybody get out your 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet book and turn to page five. The last entry on the page ... by Susan?
I went to a visitation today. My black slacks ... this funeral time ... are a girls size 14. With no constricting undergarments.

For anyone who hasn't read the book, here's the paragraph Susan's referring to:

I had to go to a funeral. I had two pairs of black pants, a size 8 and a size 12. I didn’t even consider the 8s. The 12s were the kind that button inside the pockets. I had already moved the buttons once, but that day they didn’t even reach the holes anymore. I had to loop an elastic band through the buttonhole and around the last button and keep my coat on through the whole funeral. That day at the funeral buffet, I had a black decaf. Well done on the pants, I can't imagine my butt every being that small, I got a J-Lo thing going on!!!

Which is beter than before when it resembled a mound in a child's sand pit :D

I couldn't believe it when I got my book. It was sort of flattering and frightening at the same time. If I'm in there (I feel) I have a responsibility to do well, maintain, get fitter ... I dunno ...

And as for the pants ... I am a stubborn shopper. I look at hundreds of things for every one I actually buy. I root thru darned near any rack that has a sale sign on it. Those little darlings were $4.00!

Neither did I. Theres only one Susan B. Who knew this was her? That was one of my favorite passages too. The image of looping an elastic through the button hole made me giggle the first time I read it.
