Enjoying life, NSV

  • I took a motorcycle ride 2 hrs. from my home with DH yesterday. I never would have done this before. We had a great time, there was swimming, hiking, cave exploring and a beautiful waterfall. He really wanted me to go, but I was scared. He drove very careful and I got more and more relaxed. In the past, I would have been too self-conscious about my size to get on a motorcycle. I fit on there just right and if anything my butt got sore from being so bony. I think an occasional long ride with him will add enjoyment to my life.
  • WOW!! 86 pounds lost!! You are my hero!!
It is so great that you had such a nice time with your hubby!:
  • Way to go, LilyBelle. 86 lbs is terrific! We used to have motorcycles many years ago. BJF
  • That's awesome! 80+ pounds gone~YAHOO!!!
  • Thanks everyone. I really did enjoy myself. I didn't feel too self-conscious, even in traffic in town. It was something that I think me and DH can share and do for fun sometimes. He was proud that I went and enjoyed spending the day with him doing something that he loves. This coming Saturday we are going to a water park for the day and I don't think I'll feel bad having to wear a swim suit in public for the first time in years. I'll maybe be a little embarassed about my whiteness but not my size. I spent years avoiding things that were fun because I was too embarassed about my weight, but now I am out there enjoying life.
