We went to my niece's high school graduation yesterday. My husband's whole family was there. When we left, my husband said "honey, I'm so proud of you, you were the thinnest woman there out of all my family". This made me feel so good, as his family had constantly given me not so subtle reminders in the past that I was over-weight. I've been real nice though and have given them all my clothes that are too big now.
lillybelle that's so awesome! i'm glad you got a great compliment from your husband that boosted your confidence. plus, it's awesome that you took the high road and gave his relatives your old clothes.
Good for you and good for your DH!
Giving them your old clothes was very nice and you had to get a little pleasure out of the fact that they were wearing the clothes that are TOO big for you now. Especially if they made comments about your weight.
I am going to try and get my before pic from my doctor's office when I see him next month. It will show everyone what I really looked like to start with. I want a good standing pic of me now or at goal so people can see the change. My first pic's really just showed face and shoulders. When I was at my heaviest I wouldn't let anyone take my pic.
