Major NSVs while Donating Blood
Feeling REALLY good about myself. I had not one, not two, but THREE NSVs while donating blood.
1. My resting heart rate, which used to be 75-80, is down to 60. Hooray for me getting fit! :carrot: 2. My blood pressure, which used to be 138/90 (prehypertension) is now 116/74! Hooray for having normal blood pressure! :carrot: :carrot: 3. The nurse, who asked me for my estimated weight, said "Really? You don't look like you weigh anywhere near that. You look really solid"! Hooray for looking solid!!!!! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: And on the minor NSV side as well, instead of going for the donuts and juice after donating, I had a bag of mini-pretzels, a piece of string cheese, and some water, not because I'm particularly worried about calories after donating blood, but because they sounded better. I'm doing a little happy dance right now. Well, I would be, but I'm not allowed to exercise for a day. |
Wow! Can't beat that! I'd be feeling really good myself.
