Thumbs up 90 pounds down as of today...

...32 pounds to go. I think I can hit that target by no later than next spring. Seeing those size 4s on the horizon...

Great. May I ask what diet plan you are on?

I thought I may as well come up with my own, since I'll be eating this way the rest of my life. It consists of the following:

- Losing weight very slowly, which helps prevent loose skin

- Lifting the heaviest weights I can safely manage, which increases metabolic efficiency and helps prevent loose skin

- Reducing my refined carb intake by about 90%

- Finding substitute foods I actually enjoy eating (turns out there are several, like zucchini noodles, mashed or riced cauliflower, hummus instead of peanut butter, and sparkling water instead of wine).

- Getting more sleep, which lowers cortisol production

Welcome back to 3FatChicks Noxqsleft! It's so interesting to hear of your success in losing weight and keeping it off. Many people here can benefit from hearing your strategy, including myself. I, for one, am going to start increasing my weights.

Congratulations on a job well done, and best wishes for continued success!

Thank you! I didn't keep it off the first time - several years ago I lost 75 pounds and gained back 120 (!) because I had not dealt with the fact that I'm a stress eater. I feel better prepared this time as I get closer to goal and maintenance. It kind of helps too that I'm in my 40s and therefore realize I have a lot less wiggle room than I did when I was younger.

I'm glad to hear you're planning on upping the weights. You'll get nothing but benefits from it, particularly as you start to see noticeable muscle definition.

Congratulation dear i hope you will keep it off. Me I managed to loose the 6.7 in the last month by just relearning some good habits i used to have that i have lost over the years which is the habit of drinking teas and detoxing my body. Wit that I also saw a 90% decrease of my aloe headaches. Cana I know the method you used i think i need an extra push to keep going.

This is amazing girl! I too find reducing refined carbs has worked wonders! Biggest change besides intermittent fasting I could have made to help myself!
