My knee pain is almost completely gone.

I have a bad knee. It was one of my motivators to lose weight.
I get a twinge sometimes when I squat deep, and lunges don't seem to work too well.
But in my every day life, I no longer wince in pain or have to ask my husband or son to get things on the floor or under the couch for me.

The best thing is I can lift my son up and carry him around again.(I know he's four, but sometimes I still like to hold all 46 pounds of him).

Congrats, that's awesome! Don't worry, I do the same thing with my nephew, and he's actually going to be 5 in a few months. Never too big for me to carry him until he outweighs me :D

Congrats on the loss of pain. Have you also tried physical therapy? I only ask because I am a therapist and while theoretically lower body mass helps with orthopaedic issues due to basic physics, I see very thin people in my office everyday with knee pain, ankle pain, hip pain, low back pain. If you haven't already, you may want to look into it. Anyway, YAY for how far you've come. :)

Great news. Three things eliminated my knee pain and I now run at least 4 miles every day.

Fish oil.

Glucosamine chondroitin supplements.

And Hoka One One running shoes.

Oh man, YEAHHHHH for you!!!

Had arthroscopic surgery 8 or so years ago and was told then that TKR would be in my future. Every year I'm able to delay knee replacement I consider a success. I do still have some pain but far less than before.

Yeah to you for heading this off before you get to being threatened with TKR!
