I gave up my vice

And it's been weeks,I just realized.

I love a big buttery bag of microwave popcorn. Kirkland (costco) sells 44 packs. I could polish off a pack in about a month. Haven't bought it my last two trips there. Everyone says popcorn isn't a bad snack but I would eat an entire bag, sometimes two. Each bag was close to 450 calories when I finally did the math that was 20,000 calories of popcorn a month. yikes!

It was also my gateway drug as I called it. It would start my nightly binge sessions. It's be followed by cheese, chips, a beer, etc.

I never thought I'd be able to give it up, but so happy I did.

Congratulations! That's quite an accomplishment, since it was a habit. And, if I'm doing my math and science right, that's going to save you 5.7 pounds a month! :broc:

Awesome work! I hope it works out well on the scale for you. I have found that experimenting with cutting some foods here and, sometimes, adding foods there is a great way to lose weight and find a diet you are happy with and can maintain. Forever. It is a dynamic process. Playing with your diet is fun and taught me a lot about how my body works. You will tolerate some foods much more than others, in my experience, from a weight loss perspective. But this can also be highly individual-specific.

Congrats! Cutting out foods that you adore is hard work. Major accomplishment!
