Gained 2.7lbs!!! - But It's A New Week

I'm not freaking out, just mad at myself. I've only been to the gym twice in the last two weeks. Mostly because the school has staff development days and on top of that they sent my daughter home thinking she had pink eye, and she didn't. That had her out of school from last Wednesday morning, saw the doctor on Thursday (gave her the all clear), and Friday was staff development for her school.

On top of all that, I made some terrible decisions. I had a few drinks while I was out, and I knew I shouldn't have. Then I had a burger with fries, 3 nights in a row. The funny and almost ironic part about last week's fiasco was that I drew the line at soda. I ordered one, but couldn't even bring myself to take a single sip of it.

So this week I'm doing a partial juice fast to get back on track. I'll juice during the day and eat a sensible, healthy, dinner. Tonight is salmon on a bed of spinach, onion, and mushrooms. Maybe a few shrimp.

I did a 48 hour juice fast Monday and Tuesday of last week, and I loved it. I'll modify it as I go if necessary, but I need to get back on track. Sorry for the long rant/vent but I needed to get that out since I don't have any local support group.

That 2.7lbs could be water weight due to sodium if your burger and fries were from a restaurant.

I've been trying to do juice fast/low calorie days trying to make up from my higher days. I guess it's just part of the learning curve if I want to splurge.

I stress eat on awful foods and can see the scale go up 5-8lbs in a matter of a couple of days. Funny it never comes off that fast though!

No worries about ranting/venting, that's what we are all here for.

Can't wait to read your update when your weight goes back down. And glad your daughter is ok. :)

Eh, I go up and down 5 lbs at a time - just look at my graph!
I wouldn't worry about it. Just stick to your plan, and reward yourself for success that way. You're doing amazing, and you'll make it. Ups and downs are just part of the process. :)

I think that sometimes you need to have a bad week to realize what isn't working for you. Use it as a chance to recommit. I know it's hard when life gets in the way, lol! I'm worried about the holiday season, but if I can maintain through the month and recommit in January, I'm fine with that.

Weightloss is not linear as its a lifestyle so just take it one day at a time and think long term trendline.
