well my weight spun out of control in the past year due 2 several sudden health problems, and now im left feeling isolated and confused as 2 where I can get some support 2 try and get back 2 normal

Today I reached 205.6 which means I've finally hit my 25lbs lost mark!!! So I'm a quarter of the way to my first GW of 130!!! 75 more to go!!! Woo hoo!

Twenty five pounds down!
I gained 5-10 lb a year for the past decade, leaving me 70lb overweight and discouraged. Seven weeks ago I started IP and, as of today, have shed 25lb. I have so much more energy, enjoy picking out my clothes to wear for the day, and look forward to whittling down the remaining 45lb. As someone who does not like dieting, I have to say nothing feels better than reaching a healthier weight, and realizing I CAN DO THIS!

I started out at 193.8 on November 10, my mini goal was to lose 10 pounds by Thanksgiving. I weighed in at 183.4 a week ahead of my deadline! On to my next mini goal of getting in the 170s by the end of the week. Setting mini goals really make the time go by fast when you are counting down the pounds! Also down 2 shirt sizes yay!! But now I have no shirts that fit lol, but that's a good problem. Congrats to all you on reaching your mini goals!!

so far lost 100lb.. only have 75 lb more to go! so excited :)
this is the furthest I've gone to losing weight and I'm so proud of myself.. I can't wait to reach maintenance and know I've finally made it!

Yes! I have reached a mini goal.... slightly over 10 lbs lost. I am so excited about it. It is becoming real, real weight loss and the dream of being at goal weight is for the first time a real possibility!

just like you I love the idea of setting these mini goals as a challenge and a bet with myself. Nothing is as encouraging as loosing the weight. It is so easy to get discouraged when the weight loss does not match up with the incredible amount of commitment and sacrifice we put in every day. So seeing actual results is the best motivator of all! Good job!

I started out at 264.4 and I am now at 214.4. That is a hard fought mini goal which I got to TWICE. Losing it once was to be commended but having to lose it twice was a bit on stupid side. Here I am and headed for 154.4 . I know I can make it. My next mini goal is below 210 and the below 200. So close and yet so far.

My first mini goal.
Last week did my first mini goal, it was to smoking and drinking coffee all together.
I will be getting bariatric surgery done in two week.
So I had to stop smoking and drink coffee, a cup of coffee is not the same with out a cigarette.
So that was my first mini goal starting my journey.

Got to under 300 pounds this week !!!!
still a long way to go .. . first of my mini goals was loose 15 pounds did that .... this is my second mini goal - go under 300 pounds! its nice to be in the 200's

Mini goal met!
Hi everyone! I am just getting back on track and just bought an exercise video, and have completed the entire DVD twice now. I know that might sound so minor, but it was really hard for me to keep going and there were soooo many times I wanted to quit half way through!! I am going to try to do the video 5-6x a week.

Congrats to everyone on reaching their mini-goals!!
After slipping up a little bit last night and splurging when I wasn't suppose to, I actually managed to DROP to 164, which brings me officially to a 30 lb loss!!! I'm about 6 lbs away from a normal bmi, 35 lbs away from feeling comfortable, and 44 away from my ultimate goal weight! Almost there!!

So far down 26 pounds since Thanksgiving. SW was 188.5. Currently at 162.5. Goal is 145 by August 5.

My biggest goal met was going on a 8 day cruise the end of February and did not gain 1 pound!! I cheated some, restrained some and walked over 45 miles that week. :carrot:

After surgery last October and coming home with a determination to refocus on losing some weight and eating healthier, I can say that now I'm down 27+ pounds since then, below my pre-hysterectomy weight. The hysterectomy (in 2008) was not only the start of weight gain, but I developed incisional hernias from it. Two mesh repairs in 2010 and 2013 didn't hold, so I went in for a component separation abdominal wall reconstruction. That was quite a bigger deal and can only be done once. So I wanted it to hold; I figured less pressure from within would be helpful!

I think I'm about to drop a clothing size, can't tell for sure and have been kind of busy and on a tight budget to go shopping to see. But I pulled out some shorts that were a size or so smaller and I can get them on now! :D Yippee!

You are NOT alone. So many of us with physical issues. I am married but am so fat my husband is not intimate with me anymore. Keep on the positive side, and do what you can, starting by loving yourself for all your faults. Take Care one day at a time!

Wow everyone is doing so amazing hitting their mini goals. I have officially reached one of my mini goals which was to workout at least 5 days a week. I have been consistently doing that for the past 3 weeks. I am so proud of myself. I usually fall off the wagon by now.

Thankfully no comments from friends. I would hate that.

I don’t feel different and don’t notice a difference yet, because with the weight I had gained I still could wear the same jeans, etc.
I do have a little bit of a stomach pooch, which I can notice if I look in the mirror sideways, and I do feel my arms are tight in some sleeves.
I should look for a measuring tape to try to measure the pooch- it’s hard for me to see but can tell in the mirror at certain side angles. I can’t really pinch it so probably easier to just take measurements all around.

So once I’ve dropped the rest of my gained weight I am looking forward to being back to normal. Especially with spring and summer clothing around the corner. The
weather is finally getting sunny and nice now where I live - snow finally over.

UPDATE:That gave me a great idea - I found a measuring tape in one of my sewing kits and I looked online for instructions for how to take my measurements for weight loss tracking. I took all my measurements now and hope to be posting some NSV in a few weeks!

ahah! you're thinking of yourself as just getting back to 'normal' then - and still thinking to yourself that you have gained weight - not really that you have lost 10lb. That's good though, as hopefully you'll be back to normal soon and on your normal way and no-one but you will be any the wiser.

Hi everyone.
I was always shy to talk or to answer someone here, but I always read these threads. Today I decided to finally post the answer here. I started thinking about my little goals which I achieved.
Here are some of them:
- I've given up such habit as drinking too much alcohol. I don't drink it now at all.
- I've lost 20 pounds recently.
- I go to be bed at one time each day.
- I've bought myself a new perfume.

Honestly, my biggest problem is smoking now. I'm already thinking about trying vaping as an alternative. I've tried so many methods but nothing helped. I looked through many articles on the Internet, was reading on VapingDaily about it too. I found out that vaping can really help heavy smokers, who can't just stop. Maybe someone tried?
